  • Published : 1 January 2008.
  • PageCount : 258
  • Ratings : Amazon 4.3/5, Goodreads 3/5
  • Genre : Realistic, romance, fiction

It is the story of three youngsters. Govind dreams to be a successful businessman. He along with his close friends Ishaan and Omi open a shop selling cricket equipments. The reason for this business venture is simple – they all consider cricket to be the first priority of life. Ishaan has been an excellent cricket player during his childhood, however he couldn’t make it big. Omi (son of hindu priest) is neither intelligent nor ambitious. All he wants is to escape his preordained destiny of being a temple priest and hang out with his friends.

The three friends do seem to succeed in their business venture initially. They expanded their business from cricket equipments to Maths coaching, tennis equipments, stationary things ( book, pencils etc..). Ishaan began to give Ali(12 year old muslim boy) cricket coaching for free as he believed- Ali has God gifted talent in cricket and he can make it to national team.

They spent days happily and peacefully. But then…sometimes life becomes like suger coated medicine the more you lick the more bitterness comes out… Religion, earthquake, politics, loan, dangerous love push their business venture into downward spiral. Will they pick up the broken pieces and succeed? or will life give them second chance. Find out the three mistakes that Govind commit in his life. The book explores whether making life can be fatal and if the dark reality of life can override the passion of an individual’s dream.

I will give this book 5 star ratings. It showcases the realistic views of silent majority in a country. It makes you give a thought about passion, freedom, friendship etc. When life gives you an opportunity grab it if not build a door. Obstacles come in everyone’s life, but one has to keep moving. Correct your mistakes from past and move on. Sharing your thoughts with friends and family makes you feel better. It’s a fictional story.. quite realistic and keeps you glued throughout the end.
